Bohrer to Compete in Rocket League for Saint Francis Esports

Loretto, PA

The Bishop Carroll Catholic High School celebrates their second student receiving a collegiate esports scholarship. The Red Flash celebrated Bohrer's commitment to their program on campus during a Summer Orientation & Academic Registration (SOAR) event. During SOAR Bohrer signed his National Intent to Compete form through the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). Bohrer plans to major in Computer Science while competing in Rocket League for the Red Flash within the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

During the event, Bohrer shared the following with his incoming classmates when asked about his commitment to join the Saint Francis Esports program, "I chose Saint Francis due to the faculty, and staff on campus, and the older students that I know, and their outcomes. Also I have been playing Rocket League for over three years, and it is great to know that the hours playing have payed off. I enjoy Rocket League because it is a game anyone can play and have fun regardless of their skill level. The thinkg I look forward to most is the competition against other collegiate programs."

Program Director, Luke Trotz, added the following about Bohrer, "Having Ryan in the program is going to raise the bar for Saint Francis Rocket League. Ryan was a member of the very first DI TEC High School League Championship team, and has demonstrated his skill level throughout his senior season. We are confident that Ryan will make his presence known early within the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC)."

Bohrer will begin competing for the Red Flash next school year as part of the Fall 2021 recruiting class.
