Set 1

Starting the evening, Robin's Yoshi took on Kirby on PS2, where both traded early stocks—Kirby falling to an up air and Yoshi to a neutral air—before Yoshi closed it out with an up smash. The Joker entered next and evened things up, taking Yoshi's final stock with an up throw after losing one to a dragdown down air. Link then stepped in and won a tight battle against Joker, sealing it with a forward air. His next match against R.O.B. was a chaotic exchange of downB hits, forward airs, and a final back air that knocked Link out. R.O.B. didn't last long afterward, falling immediately to Greninja's forward air. The set ended with a Greninja vs. Steve match full of minecarts, self destructs, and scrambles. Steve self-destructed, and Greninja died from a minecart before Steve finally was taken down by a forward air.

Set 2

Greninja started off Set 2, once again facing Steve, and this time Greninja dominated early, taking stocks with a forward smash and a back air that killed Steve at around 60% damage. Steve managed one to take one stock, but Greninja closed it out with a forward air at 166% damage. Joker returned and pushed Greninja to over 200% damage before Greninja finished off Joker who lost all three stocks to forward air, back air offstage, and a forward smash. The next match, Greninja vs. Robin, was a "very laggy round," and Robin ultimately took Greninja's last stock. Isabelle then entered and took Robin's stocks with an up smash and a fishing rod. Her run ended against Kirby, who closed out the match with a down smash and another finishing blow. The final battle of the night was Link vs. Kirby, a full threestock duel where both players traded blows—Kirby falling to a forward air, Link to a down air—before Kirby sealed the night with a back air.
